WE LOVE YOU R!

Happy 1st Birthday, R! I can hardly believe R turned 1 yesterday! Where has the time gone? We celebrated R's birthday by eating her favorite food for dinner (waffles and strawberries) followed by presents and cake. Here are some pictures of the party fun. Unfortunately R is obsessed with trying to grab the camera, so getting a good picture of her is pretty much impossible!

L wrote a book for R called R the Beautiful Princess.

R LOVED the stuffed bunny from Auntie K! She loved it so much, she tried to eat it. :)

Playing with her new electronic car keys.

One of R's presents was a box of tissue to use however she wished. She enjoyed pulling them out and tearing the tissues into tiny pieces. :) L and A had fun with this gift as well! :)

We didn't get any pictures of R with her cake (just video). She didn't like it at all, and ended up just squishing it and throwing it! Yuck! What a mess to clean up!

We feel so blessed to have R in our family. She is such a happy, easy going baby. Her name fits her perfectly. We love our sweet, little R! :)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

G with his yummy dessert!

L made this card for G. He LOVED the picture of him on his bike! :)

G's birthday was yesterday. We celebrated by making his favorite--strawberry shortcake. The girls were so excited to give him the presents they picked out (a bike light and some shirts). G spent the rest of the evening on the phone. Between all of our family members calling, he was on the phone for 3 hours. :) Luckily, he and I will get to celebrate this weekend by going out!

It's a boy???????????

Today G took me down to the radiology dept for a sneak peek at this baby. We were hoping to get a clear shot so we could announce with 100% confidence whether it's a boy or girl...but no such luck. We are 80% sure it is a boy...but I think G is afraid to say it. :) He kept saying, "I think maybe I'm hallucinating, but I think I see something there. :) LOL!!! He was not hallucinating; I saw it too. :) I may not be medically trained to read ultrasounds, but I've seen three girls and this one definitely looks different. G is still worried about being tricked. So for now, we think it's a boy...but we'll just have to wait and see.

We have a garden!!!

I have been wanting to plant a garden for some time now. We've never been able to because of space (we've been renting for 7 years). So we are so excited to say that we FINALLY have a garden. A friend from church came over to examine our yard and found the only spot which would receive enough sunlight. Then he built our garden box for us. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

We have planted peppers, tomatos, snap peas, green beans, zucchini, lettuce, brocolli, carrots, parsley, and basil. It is so much fun to watch everything sprout. :) The girls love checking the garden each day (and watering it). But G is the one who has really been in love with the garden. I think he goes outside to check on it about 15 times/day. :) It's nice that he's so involved with it. It's sort of his baby. :)
